Known problems

This is a list of known problems.

  1. When a safe removal procedure (by clicking on the USB icon located at the lower right hand corner of the screen) is performed, Windows XP or 2000 operating system will automatically unregister the USB storage device from the system. This operation is similar to unplugging the USB storage device from the computer which causes the computer to lock out.

Pressing CTRL-ALT-DEL to type your password will not allow you unlock the computer if the USB storage device still remain unplugged. In order to unlock the computer, you MUST unplug and re-plug the USB storage device into the USB port so that the computer registers the presence of the device again.

  2. Similar to Problem#1, the USB storage device MUST be unplugged and re-plug into the USB port after logging off your computer.
